Extruded Batts are mainly used in industrial fields such as sanitaryware, architectural ceramics, and microcrystalline glass panels. They refer to kiln furniture products with a Extruded cross section (elliptical or hexagonal shape). Products for the manufacture of such kiln furniture are generally formed by a high pressure vacuum extrusion process. According to the classification rules, the Extruded Batts are divided into 8 sub-categories: Thin Extruded Batts, Wide Extruded Batts, Long Extruded Batts, Plain Extruded Batts, Perforated Extruded Batts,  Cut-out Extruded Batts, Interlocked Extruded Batts, and Special Extruded Batts.

Advantages of Extruded Batts:

1. The weight is reduced by 35% -50%, and the carrying capacity is greatly improved. For example, a 38 mm thick Extruded Batt has a weight per unit area comparable to a 23 mm thick Plain Batt, but the carrying capacity is five times that of the latter.

2. The energy saving effect is very significant. Production data indicates  that when the Extruded Batt is used to fire the microcrystalline glass panels in the shuttle kiln, the fuel consumption can be reduced by at least 30% and up to about 70%.

3. It is not easy to bend and deform under high temperature.  Supported by SiC beams, an Extruded Batt of 1200mm in length will hardly be deformed when used. It can guarantee the flatness of large-size microcrystalline glass panels.

4. The heat dissipation area of the same plate surface is more than twice that of the plain batts, so it is better for quenching and tempering, has a longer service life, and can be suitable to the rapid firing of ceramic products.

Cordierite-Mullite kiln furniture is the composition  of cordierite, mullite and glass phase. It fully utilizes the high temperature resistance of mullite and the low expansion of cordierite, so the cordierite-mullite kiln furniture is resistant to quenching. With good heat performance and long service life, it can be used safely below 1350°C to meet the burning requirements of most ceramic products.

General kiln furniture is mainly used in forming the main structure of the kiln furniture system, on which the products or the secondary kiln furniture placed . Therefore, the universal kiln furniture is also called the primary kiln furniture. This type of kiln furniture can be applied in different industries and has strong versatility.
