SiC Saggars
Description

The Silicon carbide Sagger has good thermal shock stability and thermal radiation. The heat conduction is three times that of the corundum sagger. It is widely used in various high-temperature kilns and has a maximum operating temperature of 1,500 degrees.


Silicon carbide products can be divided into two major categories:Oxide combination SiC products and Reaction sintering SiC products.

Characteristics of oxide-bonded SiC products:

1. Excellent anti-oxidation properties: They can adapt to the ceramic oxidizing firing atmosphere and reducing firing atmosphere . In the case of normal operation and normal firing conditions, the number of turnovers is used 200-500 times or more.

2. In high temperature ,the products possess compression strength and bending strength , without deformation.

3. Resistance to rapid cooling and rapid heat is well,and it is not easy to crack when used.

4. The SiC Board has high density, smooth surface, and does not slag when used.

5. Wide temperature range for firing: It can be used in the range of 800-1400 °C.

6. High product strength: Under the premise of the same specification and ensuring long-term use without deformation, the thickness of the SiC Board is the thinnest in the same industry, which can maximize the utilization of the kiln and greatly save energy.

Application range:

Daily-use ceramics, Sanitary ware, High-voltage electric porcelain, Electronic ceramics industry, Grinding wheel industry, Medium aluminum ball industry, Amorphous ribbon industry, Magnetic materials industry.

Characteristics of reaction sintered SiC products:

1. High strength, high hardness and high wear resistance.

2. High temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, rapid cold and rapid heat resistance.

3. Strong anti-oxidation and good thermal shock resistance.

It can be made into beams, roller bars, quenching pipes, thermal couple protection tubes, temperature measuring tubes, fire nozzles, wear parts, corrosion resistant parts, seals and various special-shaped structural parts.
